WOW.

My jaw is still on the floor.
Jason, the owner of Performance Poultry here in Ontario is the rudest man I have ever dealt with.
I pick up my 20 day old (5 of each breed) and get them home. The next day when I take them out of the brooder to photograph, I realize he hadn't given me 5 easter eggers like I ordered, but only 3--, and I could only identify 2 Brown Leghorns, when I also ordered 5 of those. It seemed to me (new to chickens last year) that he had given me 9 Welsummers..(instead of 5 ordered). I did get the correct amount of silver laced Wyandottes (5).When I sent him a very polite email with photos, asking if there had been a mistake, it is ignored. I resend. Ignored again.
I call- my call is not returned. I finally speak to him today (10 days later!!!) and he CHEWS ME OUT saying he is busy and I have no idea what I'm looking at- that I got 5 of each breed I ordered. That I need to stop bugging him and that I should learn how to count!!!!

No, Im not kidding- he asked me "How hard is it to count to 20?" (the total amount of birds recieved was never in question).
So here are the 20 birds I picked up.

Why don't we let the chicken experts tell me if I'm the idiot he claims I am. Here are the photos.

Can anyone tell me if there are 5 EE in the bunch, and 5 Brown Leghorns?

Hey Minky, it's always sad to hear bad news on hatcheries as there are some many to buy from and most all buyers spend some time to choose where to place trust, money and time.

I don't know all the breeds your talking about in chick looks but have experience with EE and Wellies.
The eye liner is what I see as being welsummers. It looks like about 10 have eye liner without going back to the photos and counting. As for EE's.....I suppose his group could have some welsummers looks if that is part of his breeding stock for the brown egg laying Gene. I bought 13 EE chicks last spring from my local mom n pop feed store and don't know what hatchery the buy from but none looked anything like a welsummers but I have no idea what breeding stock they have in them.

I am sure you will enjoy them but I do understand your frustrations.

Hi simplify- Thanks, thats what Im assuming also. I posted this thread in "What breed or gender is this?" and have been given some other possibilities. I guess I wil just wait it out and see.
