Got a beautiful 6 month old or so chocolate mottled Orpington rooster from a friend. I placed him in coop with my adult hens (screw up) and they terrorized him so I took him out pretty quickly. All chickens come out in the evening and go back for roosting with auto door. He stays by himself during the day and then roosts in a laying box to be away from them. Each morning I take him out and let him run around - he is always in the nesting box. He doesn’t even crow, I guess because he’s afraid to. He keeps his distance when they’re all out together. Will he ever be able to breed them? He’s much bigger but also much you get and scared to death. Thanks
