Hello This is a short story about a child who wants a go cart.
A child wants a go cart. He wants a simple go cart, nothing abnormal, a frame, wheels, an engine, a seat and steering wheel, and control pedals.
The child went to the go cart dealership and asked where the simple go carts are. The salesman said "We have simple go carts, but what you really want is a Tesla car." The child said "Oh, I don't need a Tesla car, I just want a simple go cart for driving around my backyard and my grandparents farm." The salesman insisted "Go carts can't drive on the highways so you don't want one. You want a Tesla car."
The child said "I don't want to drive on highways. Just the backyard and the farm."
The salesman said "Tesla cars have amazing technology and service plans that are affordable for your entire life!"
The child said "But I want a simple go cart so I can fix it myself and don't need to rely on big factories for the things I need and will never be able to make."
The salesman knew he wasn't convincing the child to buy a Tesla car so he called in a different salesman. This new salesman could twist words around so much that for sure the child would buy a Tesla car even if he thought he was getting a simple go cart.
The new salesman walked up to the child and said "I love go carts."
The child's eyes got wide and he smiled.
The salesman continued "but I'll never drive one again." as he look out the window at the setting sun.
The child asked "Why won't you ever drive one again if you love them so much?"
The salesman said "These go carts are great fun, for sure. And you'll probably have the best time of your young life on one, but...." and he paused...
The child waited impatiently like he was doing the peepee dance. And finally, after what seemed like a few seconds, the salesman finally answered..
"..go carts use animal protein."
