Test Incubation: Due to hatch 12/19 (including eggtopsies **graphic pictures**)

Pics
I think the lonely hatchling has imprinted on me. I was checking the pipped egg to make sure that it could breathe and the hatched chick climbed right up into my hand, several times.

Sure is a cute little booger. Looks like this cross (New Hampshire over Dom and Dom crosses) are going to have a good deal more red in them than my Black Cochin/Dom crosses. This little one already has a good deal of red in its face. I know I shouldn't take it out before it fully fluffed, but I had to get a picture of the cutie.

And I have high hopes for #11 being hatched by morning. If you look carefully you can see the beak right in the opening.

You didn't clean the eggs? I wonder hmm

Milk forms mucus, try pedialyte.
He nurses through the day just fine. I don't think breastmilk has the same mucus inducing tendencies as cows milk.

I have a hard enough time getting him to drink anything that isn't breastmilk (straight from the source). Also, I would make my own "pedialyte" drink. The store bought stuff has too much junk in it (food dyes and artificial sweeteners to name two). I don't think we are quite to the point of needing a re-hydration drink yet. He hasn't had a fever and is taking decent amounts of food and milk during the day.
