Well, I decided to turn it on. I got two of these last year (one holds 50, one holds 100) and finally getting around to turning the big one on. My fiance replaced everything on it, I just have a couple of questions.
How long does one typically take to heat up?
When I got it, it has ventilation holes (four about the same size as on a styrofoam incubator and two smaller), how many do I leave open and what can I use to block the holes, would tape work?
There is a little, what I think is supposed to be light on the top, the unit is heating up but the light is not coming on. Any ideas?
I am going to be sitting here keeping an eye on this and wont leave it on if I have to leave the room.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, I have worked with the 50 egg unit,(it did well) but still dont know much about these old incubators.

I turned it off for now, cant find a pliers and need that to adjust the temp. But once I do that, I think its going to work great.

Well, good luck.

Thanks! A very considerate BYC member e-mailed me a link to info on these old galvanized browers. This will be extremely helpful.
Right now its just adjusting the temps, everything else is good to go. If I remember correctly, it took a little while to adjust the temp on the smaller one as well, just had to mess with it a bit.
