Yin - what color eggs do your Aracaunas lay?

Parents laid robin's egg blue (these guys all hatched from them) and so far the first pullets are also laying robin's egg blue eggs (we've gotten 5 eggs so far).

So I feel pretty safe in saying it should hold true for the others that haven't started to lay yet.
as the breeder told me: "no green tints or pink tints to these. They are from purebred stock bred for the goal of clear (non muddy) very blue eggs".

Not sure if anyone is interested or not

I have a "few" freebies / swaps (for other bloodlines of the same breeds preferred)

Breeds available

non hatchery birds:
Dorking (silver grey and reds) 16 left

Bresse (Greenfire) 12 left
Euskal Oiloa (Skyline and Greenfire) 12 left
Araucana (purebreds.. not EEs) 11 left
Yokohama (standard) 8 left
Silkies gone

hatchery birds:
bantam Pyncheon gone

bantam Delaware gone

All birds are purebred
Would like a few trades but most are free
All are this years hatch

These are extra birds. I already culled the worst of the bunch.. so these would be "keepers" but I am thinning the flock a bit more.. just have more than I want to hang onto for our breeding program (and the freezer is already pretty full)!

I also have a few capons available from the same breeds gone

NO SHIPPING.. so local peeps only please

and as I said before.. not selling.. just hoping to do some swaps.

First come first serve.. had 95 to rehome... 36 birds gone already... 59 left

edited to add: I'm also advertising these guys locally.. so they won't last long.

I'll try to keep this updated... however if I forget just send me a PM if you are interested in some nice quality, young, FREE breeding stock birds and I will let you know if I have anything left from this batch. (all Capons are already gone.. however I will be caponizing more birds later this year as well as next spring).

I have blue and splash silkied ameraucanas. These are a spontaneous mutation with in this species and NOT crossed to silkies or any other bird they are pure ams. They have NO traits like black skin or five toes at all...this was never the way these came to be...their feathers are hookless giving them fur (like a cat) like feathers. Please pm if interested in these beautiful birds some are splash, some are blue. We have chicks and some older birds...pm for availablitity and prices.

I can attest to the color of the eggs! We got three of these guys from you and they all laid eggs! They are the most beautiful blue eggs I have ever seen!

Yeah, just super busy with thinning out the flock and getting ready for road trips.. planning on being in South Texas later this month for a weekend and have relatives coming from out of state.. so it's a lot of final touches to get done and out of the way...
My husband is still on the "no work list" even though he says he's feeling good. They want to run some more tests on him in October before they will let him going back to his normal workload... I'll be sure to tell him you asked after him.
