Hi, I'm searching for breeders that have the Texas Pioneers available as I've been unable to find any. I contacted the Texas Pioneer association and talked to a lady in Arizona who could send me some in October but of course I don't want to wait that long. Also attempted contact with a breeder out of Coldspring, TX but have not heard anything and Country Hatchery seems to be my only outlet, if I can actually get in touch with them.

Any other suggestions to locate these birds? Breeders, Hatcheries...etc? Any advice would be much appreciated. As much as I hate to say it; if I can't locate the birds then I may have to look at other more available breeds of pigeons for meat and eggs. Homers maybe.

Im curious about this breed. i have eaten mycull performance pigeons and very pleased with meat all around on those old birds, so would want to know more about best meaty feed conversion, or/and free ranging pigeons to breed for meat..???
