i was reading the regulations and it appears that i dont need a permit to own or sale coturnix quail. it listed bobs, gambel and 1 or 2 more but thats it. am i right about this or did i misunderstand if so,...what all do i need to be legal. and do u need anything to just raise and eat them your self. thanks
 
Contact Your State Dept Of Fish And Wildlife. Ask Your Questions To Them Directly As They Will The Ones Writing Any Citations Or Taking You Into Custody For Any Infractions... Get Your Information From Them Directly And You Will Have No Doubts

in texas coturnix quail do not require a permit

but to sell eggs or live birds you do need to be NPIP...

which is nothing but a phone call away and about 30 mins of testing by a state tester...
