We had what the news is calling the all-time snowfall record.

It was a lot of fun playing in the snow again! I think it has been 8 years since we had any snow that stuck.
It was a wet snow...perfect for snowball fights!
It sure is getting messy with the melting, though. It's supposed to freeze tonight again, so it will be icy tomorrow if it does.

We had three inches over in Abilene, it melted quick though. The postholes I have dug for the run now have about 6" of water in them. Oh well. This has been weird weather. Do you still have power?

I live in Fort Worth and we got 11 inches

We never lost power, but the lines were sagging really low.
There was a lot of power loss around us. You can bet if I had eggs in the incubator we would have been without power!

Thanks for the comments on the tree, I love it too.
That Oak tree is very old. DH's Dad said he used to play under it as a child. It was big then. DH's Dad was born in 1909.
This tree has been struck by lightning a few times. It got the top knocked out of it by one strike.

I was raised in Minnesota, so I enjoyed this snow very much. I will be glad when it's gone and Spring peeks around the corner, though. We've had strange weather this winter.

I called my Mom, and told her about it. She lives in Minnesota, She was laughing, and told me we might need to tie ropes from the house to the barns, in case it turned into a blizzard! I laughed about that, cause I was just telling DH about having to do that when the weather was really bad up North when I was a kid. I think he thought I was making up a story!

How beautiful! I looked at the China Berry tree and my first thought was "Are those seed pods??"
