Texas sorghum sudan grass seeds - okay for chickens?

I have some extra bags of sorghum sudan grass pasture seed from Texas (brand: Nature's Seed). I'm considering giving it to the chickens, as is or sprouted.

I know there are some issues with sorghum but they seem to be tied to sorghum from overseas. Since this is from the U.S. I'm hoping it's okay. Opinions?

YES. I've planted that seed myself. My birds eagerly ate the seed heads. Sadly, it did not establish, I need to replant.
