We are going to buy a good chunk of land somewhere up here near Dallas/Ft.Worth and start a small farm. When we have the basics set up (house, animal pens etc) my mother (I'm in highschool LOL not an adult yet) promised me she would let me do something like this. But I want to put a twist on things--- I want people to camp out with me in tents! I love camping, so I thought it would be fun and at the same time get to know fellow BYC people!
During the day we could have BBQ, raffles for poultry and other fun stuff like mini equestrian events and chicken races.
During the night we could roast marshmallows and play flashlight tag (for those that feel like playing a game)
BEFORE you ask 'Where would we put our animals?'
We would have extra pens available for poultry.
Only thing I'd ask is that no non-gelded horses/goats/donkeys show up, because we might have to pen those with mine if you want to stay overnight since they tend to take up lots of space. Any stallions/studs that we would own have their own stall in the barn.
ID'ing your birds would be optional but strongly advised.
I don't know, what do you guys think? Would you want to do something like this? I sure would!

On a side note, there are TONS of deer out here and they have the cutest babies every year!
