I have a dirt floor in one coop , a plywood covered with vinyl, and a plank floor in the third. The dirt floor is the best. It makes for fabulous compost.

Some of my coops have no floors and others wood floors. I do use pine shaving in the coops with the wood floors. Good luck and have fun...
