Good Morning
Have been browsing the threads in my off moments in constructing my chicken coop.
I'm not new to having chickens but it has been years since I've decided to take the plunge once more.
Still working on outdoor plaza for the girls and its been slow going since I'm much older.
Ordered my chicks yesterday from feed store (the easter egg type). Never tried those and I may split my order with my daughter. I really want Buff Orpingtons.
Thanks for the informative threads and love the pictures!

So glad you could join our community! If you do get the chance to get Buff Orps, do so. Wonderful breed to keep! Friendly, docile, great on the laying and they make terrific lap warmers!!

Enjoy this new journey you are on and if you have any questions along the way, feel free to ask. Congrats on the soon to be new babies and welcome to our flock!

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock!! Lovely to hear you are taking the plunge again into chicken keeping. I'm sure you will get right back into the swing of things. Be sure to ask any questions you may have, everyone here to help. Good luck with your chicks and hope you enjoy BYC :frow

Hi and welcome to BYC! That's wonderful you're coming back to chickens.

We have 1 EE in our mixed flock and she's great. She's been molting for the past month so no eggs, but it will be a good day when I find one of her light bluish-green eggs in the nesting box again. You'll have a really colorful egg basket with a flock of EE's.

Nice to have you join us. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
