Last night we stayed at my mother and father In laws' house. I put my 3 year old and 5 year old to bed in "their" room. Yes, they have their own room there... I checked on them before i went to bed, all was fine... Well this morning at 4 am my mother in law came running into "our" room... She was hysterical... My Father in law had just shut their alarm off and was laying in bed when he heard my 3 year old crying, he thought he had had a night mare, so he layed there for a few more seconds before my Mother in law got up to go see what was going on.. AND THANK GOD SHE DID!!! There was a string from a blanket that had gotten wrapped around his neck!!!! He could hardley breathe, it was so tight that he couldnt get up... SHe screamed for my Father in law to help her....HE ran in with his pocket knife, the string was so tight that he could barley get his finger betweent he string and my 3 year olds neck, but he did, and cut the string....... WE DIDNT EVEN HEAR THE COMMOTION and neither did my 5 year old that was in the same bed as my 3 year old.... He is fine now, he has broken blood vessels on his neck, face and scalp from lack of oxygen, but he is STILL HERE!! My son would be dead right now if his grandparents hadnt heard him!!! PLEASE check your kids blankets, blinds, or anything else with cords or strings... They may seem harmless but THEY ARE NOT!!! Thank GOD FOR MY IN LAWS!!!!!
