Thank God for my MIL &FIL, saved my sons life!!

OMG!!!! Thank God they were there. That is why I dont have electric blankets at all. I was afraid of getting zapped or fire hazard. Now I know of another reason!

I am a freak about children and strings because a friend (who is a RN), lost their beautiful 3 yr. old, the night of her 3rd b'day party.. They had collected all the balloons and put them in her room after the party, one lost a lot of helium and landed in her bed and she got it wrapped around her neck.... It was so horrible..

Thank the Good Lord for his grandparents....

Thank goodness they found him in time. How scary!

I'm so glad that your little one is ok!

Thank God is right! Wow, what a close one. I just read an article last week about Mike Tyson's 4 year old daughter got hung up in the cord on an exercise bike . . . maybe the heart monitor cord or something? She was rushed to the hospital but died. I would never have thought a blanket string could get that tight ~ Thanks for sharing the story so we can warn other families!! Hope you've all recovered from the whole ordeal!

i am so happy he is safe.

the other night i crawled in bed with my five year old with a blanket i rarely use but i used this night as i was too lazy to get another one. i woke up and it had a loose thread and it was around my neck.. not tight but still.. it could have been my middle daughter.. she flopps around like a fishout of water at night and it could have been really bad. i am sure to go around tomorrow after work(baby is already sleeping so it's not a big deal now with blankets) and look for all that is scary in way of cords, strings, etc.

glad your MIL and FIL were there. give everyone a hug.. buy them lunch lol. i know it's not much.. but it's still appreciated.
