I have not had any chickens for a long time. I recently purchased 12 layers...they are about 3.5 weeks old. I finally got them in their new house yesterday. They seem really happy so far...now if I can just keep them alive through this storm tonight

Greetings from Kansas, beckygus, and :welcome! Pleased you joined our community! Where is home? Hope you weather the storm okay. My neck of the woods just wound up a week of drenching rain. My chicken run is a swamp. But it wasn't stormy so I can't whine too much. Good luck to you and thanks for joining BYC!

I am in Mayodan,NC. I love this group. I have been watching it for most of my info. You have all been so helpful to me already. Thanks for the warm welcome!

Welcome!

I hope you and your little ones fared OK during the storm. Having recently been through an X Tropical Cyclone which was still packing quite a punch, I know how worrying it can be when you have much loved featheries in a coop.

I also hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out

Thank you,my little ones did better than I thought. When I checked on them they all ran to the door like they expected to be picked up and held or a treat lol. Guess I don't need to worry lol
