I want to thank everyone who has made this site possible and the people who contribute to it. I purchased my first pullets and feeder chicks on 3/9/2014. Scouring the web for information I found my searches coming right back to this site and forum. I now have butchered and eaten a chicken, and have collected my second egg as of today. It has been a lot of work, but a wonderful experience. I thought it appropriate to thank all of you in helping me on my eggspeariment.
I have six, We'll 4 pullets and two hens now. I hope those are the proper terms. They are Barred Rock, Hatched on 2/29/2014. My niece helped talk me into this and I am glad she did.
