Thank you for including me in BYC. Had kept a few chickens when I lived in MA. Moved permanently to Florida and just bought 5 chicks from Tractor Supply, 4 Barred Rocks and 1 Leghorn. My brother bought a Coop kit for me and he’s going to put it together. I’m an organic gardener so my chickens will help fertilize my plants. Looking forward to learning from other Chicken Whisperers.

Welcome to BYC! I live in MA and own chickens, and it was a bit harder in the colder months. I hope you have luck now that it's warm down there all year round!
Also, I love those barred rocks and white leghorns. My personal top 2 for laying eggs.
Although the leghorns do get quite flighty. I recommend clipping one wing every couple months or so.
