I posted a few weeks ago about my worries about traveling. We have lost some hens while traveling, and I was looking for help fully securing my coop.
I reinforced every weak spot in the attached run (the coop has an internal door to the run), built a new and more secure door to the run, buried a large hardware cloth apron around the entirety of the run AND installed some hotwire around the run.
We were gone for 10 days and the girls are all fine! Thank you!
I left a game camera up and, to be honest, it looks like no predators even came by, but the camera's range was not great. Either way, I really appreciate all the advice!
