I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has posted such helpful info on this board! I have a little 1 week old Barred Rock chick who came as a packing peanut and was just not growing. He stood under the heat lamp all day, weaving his head back and forth (hence his name "Ray"), in the midst of all the other chicks running around him.
I read a lot on this board, and started giving him vitamin water and made a gruel out of the starter feed. This morning, as little as he is, he is running around with the bigger birds, darting under their wings and acting like a normal chick.
So thankful for all the wonderful advice you so freely share!
