Thankful Thursday. Thirsty Three Times Think Thickish

So, our resident hawk had one heckuva day today.
Corners some of the flock in the goat field.
Goes after Hemoglobin, one of the standard-sized youngsters -- fails.
Decides to go for Yotsuba, one of the oldest hens, who is currently molting -- fails.
Goes for Poppy, the massive Sapphire Gem hen who jumps at the drop of a dust mote -- fails.
Goes for Scimitar, one of the ISA pullets -- fails.
Then my father came out and unintentionally spooked it into a tree until I came out and spooked it further into the woods.
Kolachi, the angriest bantam that I have, is missing, but everyone else is fine. One of Scimitar's wattles is torn, but she's a-okay.
This is the biggest fail that I've ever encountered from this thing. Goes after four birds, one of which is a half-grown hen with the violent temper of a pebble, and fails to get any of them. Just left feathers all over.

I have no idea where the heck she was hiding. No clue. My chickens keep doing that -- disappearing without a trace, and then popping up some time later.
No losses today!

It’s what I call the neighbors Cochin rooster. She picks him up and packs him around like a toddler. Most of the time he just sleeps like that.
