Bob, do you have wolves there? If you do, Are they some of the ones the transplanted from here?

Would you like some or some more?
There are wolves in the state. Some were transplanted from Canada and likely some were transplanted from Minnesota. I have had people claim that they have migrated this far from Yellowstone but have not seen any proof of it.

I have a friend in the Bighorn Mountains that has killed at least several wolves. Fortunately in Wyoming, wolves in most parts of the state are listed as predators and can be killed at any time by any one.

Here in the State of Northern California, wolves are so protected. We had a season on them a few years ago but the Citiots in the Twin Cities went ape poop over it. Rioting, burning until the state gave in and canceled it.

About 25 years ago I lost over a 100 lambs to wolves in one year. I was standing in my hay shed with the WW, my hired man and his grandson when we saw a wolf jump a 5 ft tall hi-tensile electric fence with a lamb in its mouth.

We took a few of the WW’s (who was just the WWD back then) pie pans and covered the wolf tracks with them. I called the Game Warden and reported my loss to him. We had a program where the Feds would pay for livestock loss if killed by wolves.

The state and Federal wardens came out looked at the tracks, my baby less ewes and decided all four of us were wrong and it was a coyote that jumped the fence... I, of course, said “male bovine feces”.

They didn’t appreciate my opinion. So I then said, “ this is great news, knowing it’s a coyote means I can shoot the child of unmarried parents”.

I kid you not, the federal warden had the gall to tell me with a stern face, “you better not! They could be wolves”.

I got no federal wolf feeding money, and worse yet, they found a dead wolf on my south 80 and had the nerve to come to my house and accuse me of shooting it.

I think because I was gainfully employed as a State Trooper they believed me. I didn’t shoot it. However, I was telling the story to a guy I let hunt my land. He was a paraplegic and he just smiled and said “a dead wolf, too bad”.

So I found out who killed it... but I forgot to give his name to the wardens..

I really dislike wolves.

Kiki and I talked for a couple hours a couple weeks ago about how normal we are.
Having at least some intelligence and common sense does not make you normal.

Wolf tags come 20 to a box.
SSS

I dealt with them in N Idaho. Most people I knew had a tag to make it legal..... but didn’t bother fetching the carcass to put it on.

He had stopped drinking. But he had since passed. He was the chairman of our school board and a neighbor.

If he kept finding dead wolves on my land, he could hunt deer year round for free, and I would buy him a free dinner for every dead one he found :lau :lau :lau
