I'm going to say he is a brahma mix. Likely a partridge color in his background.
I gave this guy away before he matured but you can see the similarities in body shape, pattern, and color.

Pretty. Yes I see! I don't guess it matters what he is. He takes good care of the hens! But getting involved with chickens makes one wonder!

I agree. Almost all my favorites are mixed breeds. Its fun to guess whats in them, but in the long run it doesn't matter at all. They are all precious to me.

I totally get that! Those we had first, didn't matter their lineage! But being someone who does Ancestry it made me wonder! LOL! Im afraid people are getting annoyed with me talking, or clucking about my chicks! Thank goodness for BYC!!

I have another question. Of the 4 hens and rooster we have already I know what the hens are but not the rooster. I call him Pretty Boy because he loves to strut. But I'm clueless as to his breed? Hubs says he thought it was cinnamon something? Anybody! View attachment 4118973

I have no clue! Honestly before I got these chicks I have now I never paid much attention to the older ones. Now I'm all about all of them! Weird huh? I did find one like him and they called it a Cochin from China??!! I have gotten a couple of different ideas. But as I told someone, I don't suppose it matters.
