Hey Y'all,
My name is Darrell, but my friends call me Kornbr3d! I'm from Mobile, Alabama but I've laid my head in Owen Sound, Ontario and that's where I've called home for 16yrs!
I have a lot of mental health issues, suffer from chronic pain, and I'm an addict. I had 15yrs of sobriety until a brief relapse last year that lasted about 10mths. After becoming sober again my income tax money was to be deposited into my account and the thought of having so much money scared me. I woke up that morning to buy a DeWalt 60v Circular Saw and ended up buying a laser machine that I had been eyeballing for a few months. It was on a "lightning buy" and the sale price was just above what I had deposited. So I spent myself broke. That led to me opening a small laser engraving and cutting business. Which led to me making a deal for selling replacement parts and accessories in Canada for a company out of California! Then that has led to another deal in the works with a company out of South Carolina!
Oh, and I also am going to be doing printing on fabrics, keychains, dog tags, etc for other types of customizable products! I've accomplished all of this in 183 days!
**pats self on back**
I had to clean out my printhead this morning and used the Backyard Chickens logo to show as an example! This is on 100% Ivory Coloured Polyester!
I've been lurking these forums for ages, but never signed up. I came across the site hundreds of times over the years while thinking about building an incubator. I'm finally doing it for real now though, and joined for the wealth of knowledge and experience I've witnessed in these forums.
At the moment I'm actually building my incubator for quail eggs because I live in the city and haven't found anyone to allow me to raise chickens in their backyard just yet, but hopefully that'll come soon too! So for now I'm breaking the bylaw(I think) and raising some quail inside of a closed shed! I don't think anyone should be able to tell me what I can do inside of a closed shed as long as the noise isn't bothering anyone and there's no smell coming out, but such is life in the city. I'm sure I'll find out if one of my neighbors catch on and snitch me out though. Lol!
This is where I'm at so far in my build. I'm going to have a partially lexan door for viewing, a fully automated temp, humidity, egg controller, etc, etc. Oh, and legs so that I don't have to bend over so far to deal with it. My back will really appreciate that one!
These are some of the components I'm using in the build.
This is the egg racks I have on the way.
Sorry, I couldn't figure out how to resize the photos and make them smaller from my phone! I used the "insert thumbnail" but they still appear to be full-size images.
If it isn't obvious by now I have severe ADHD and tend to make really long-winded comments and replies! I'm very spontaneous and say what's on my mind. Some people hate me for it, but most people love me for it.
Thanks for having me! I hope y'all are having a clucking great day/weekend/time!
PS: This is in no way intended to be an advertisement of my services. I'm not even completely up and operational yet! I just used the BYC logo because my printhead needed cleaning/blown out and I'd forgotten about it until typing this post! So I stopped and did so before forgetting about it again.
