(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I began in 2020 after I had a stroke.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 20 chickens, 2 turkeys, 6 ducks and 4 quail.
(3) What breeds do you have? mixed
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? They have been amazing therapy for me. Spending time with them, watching their silliness and the planning portion of the future adds.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Painting, crafts and cooking.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I'm done with my 50-year working career. Ending it sooner than expected. I have an amazing husband (he puts up with my crazy self) of 42 years. I have 5 beautiful rebellious kids (can't imagine where they're rebellious ways come from), 5 grandbabies, 1 great grandbaby and a perfect Bandit (German Shepard).
