I'm not exactly new to chickens but we're moving from central Texas to West Texas. It's a huge move! We've decided sell our chickens and start over. I'm afraid the long drive will be to traumatic for our classy girls. I've been raising chickens for about 5 year's. I will be starting with a brand new barn. I want to get it set up for easy cleaning. I'm open to suggestions and will be eternally grateful for

Hello, Debbie, and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Poop boards with a lip to retain Sweet PDZ granules and scooping the boards every morning is my best advice for easy to clean. Make a compost bin away from the coop and house to dump the poop bucket in and layer it with leaves, grass, twigs, or other dry carbon source. Turn regularly and keep damp to compost.
A very close second is building your run as predator proof as the coop (this means a solid roof), using a thick layer of wood chips for run litter and leaving pop door open so the birds can go to the run as soon as they are off the roost in the morning. This allows the daily load of poop to be cold composted in the run with very little in the coop litter.
These two things will permit you to only clean out the coop once or twice a year.
