Hi I'm Steph. I have recently taken in my uncles three bantams, one of which (my silkie) is currently brooding on 6 eggs. Fingers crossed we will soon have chicks

There is one question I have. Since my silkie went broody, about 2 weeks ago, my other 2 have not laid anything. Is that normal? They aren't laying in her nest, I check for any extra eggs under her every day. It's as if they have had an instinct to leave her be and give her the peace and quiet she needs.

Laying or not laying is not a conscious decision that hens make, it is a physical process based on the hormones and physical condition of the birds. If your other two Silkies have stopped laying, then they have likely gone broody as well, and especially so if all the birds are the same age. Silkies are typically the broodiest of all breeds so this will be a common occurrence with them. As a result, Silkies, while making great pets with their friendly, sweet, and gentle temperament, make poor layers.
 
Ah ok. They are not all silkies, I have a Peking and a Sussex. I assumed it must have been something like that as the others still look healthy, however I didn't think they were broody as they are still happily it and about.

Pekings are about as broody a breed as Silkies. If your other two are not laying, it has nothing to do with a conscious choice on not wanting to disturb your Silkie. They have stopped laying for other reasons. Poultry Keeper has a list of reasons why hens stop laying at https://poultrykeeper.com/keeping-chickens-faq/why-have-hens-stopped-laying/. If you run through the list, you may find the answer as to why the other two have stopped laying.

Thank you all for your help! I will be sure to keep you updated with the hatch. I candles them last night and all 6 are kicking away nicely
