My name is Jody . I was given 10 hens (after building a coop and run) from from boss. they are older hens and did stop laying for about 3 month after the move.. I just fed them the best I could and cleaned coop and talked to them and finally won them over.. I get about 2-5 eggs a day.. Have had to google all about chickens and learn as much as I could . We live in the city and they do not allow roosters and no more than 10 hens so it looks like I have for a while. The older hens have been great to learn from.. Thanks for the add.

Greetings from the cornfields of Iowa! It sounds like you are doing a great job with your chickens. After all, chickens are people too!. I talk to my ladies often, and enjoy their antics. While we have them to produce eggs, there is no reason why you can’t enjoy them too! Don’t let anyone tell you it’s strange talking to chickens, they just never had the opportunity to do so. It is probably a good thing we humans don’t understand chicken talk though. Once again welcome and enjoy your time here!
