Hello!
My family and I are new to raising chickens, and we are all so excited. We started with 9 assorted baby chicks about 6 weeks ago. I'm thinking there are a few Cinnamon Queens and a couple Black Australorps in there, but the others are still pretty much a mystery. Since then, I added a buff laced Polish that was the same age, (my wife loves her of course) which rounded out the flock at 10. Well, about 2 weeks ago I was at TSC and added 4 Light Brahamas chicks to the flock, even though they are separate from the rest right now. My guess is that they are about a month behind the rest developmentally. I am currently constructing their permanent coop. The run will come after that. Call me crazy, but I have also ordered some mealworms and beetles to raise as well. We just jumped right in, and are looking forward to being a part of this group. Thanks for the addition!
