But I was trying to find out when asparagus is dormant so I could transplant. I have been raising chickens most of my life and have over 100 most of the time. Can't stand store bought eggs they don't have what it takes. we sell the ones we don't use. Does anyone do asparagus?????

Hello there, and welcome to Backyard chickens! I am glad you joined us, please make yourself at home! I grow Asparagus, I am on my 5th year right now, so I have an established crop at this point. Asparagus is dormant over the winter, I think I planted my crowns in February. Just don't feed it to the hens, bad eggs. I hope you enjoy BYC as much as I have!
