I'm kind of new to raising chickens, since it's only been 3 years; but I just can't tell you all just how much I love the buckeyes. They are the sweetest, prettiest, friendliest and most intelligent birds I've ever seen. I love how they were bred for the colder weather, sometimes on Florida Mountain we get extreme cold and snow and they handle it beautifully, I'm generally not too worried about them getting frost bite because of their pea combs. The best part-we are tick free! I just love hanging with the buckeyes watching their funny antics all day long. I also have 1 that's a scissor beak and she is doing well, I mix her food with water so she can eat it better. PEACE OUT~
