I primarily wanted to officially register here to thank everyone who makes this forum/community such an amazing resource. Over the last year or so I've read countless threads and found so much invaluable info here. You all make keeping chickens easier for countless people and we certainly appreciate it.
Our family has a few acres in West Virginia where we keep chickens and bees alongside our menagerie of other animals (4 dogs, a macaw, an amazon, and a cat). We're fortunate to have 8 hens (4 australorp and 4 white leghorns) and are currently raising 15 assorted chicks to grow the mixed flock. My wife is a nurse and I mainly take care of things on the homestead after years of managing restaurants/retail.
Anyway, enough rambling. Again, just wanted to thank you all for supporting this forum and for all the amazing information you have shared that helps backyard chicken keepers like us and so many others! God bless!
