You are very welcome @brassferret and we are very happy to help you and all your questions and concerns! So I usually have a welcome that I do unique for all new members and yours will be no different. By your intro I am going to leave you 3 links, and I always look at the intro and I can promise you these three links will DEFINITELY help you a lot. So the first is the Learning Center. This link is seen a lot in my welcomes and it is because it is the best place on this site for quick learning on various subjects and as I say a lot you can ALWAYS learn something from the Learning Center.

Next is the Raising Backyard Chickens thread. Now the Raising BYC or RBYC is a very broad thread. As you can see it has 14 sub threads and those threads have threads. I usually leave people with a sub thread because it is a specific subject, but your intro shows me that I think all those threads would be helpful. I assume you do not have time to check all 14, but even checking a few would help.

Finally the Family Life is a optional link and you should go there if you have any free time which by these links you may not lol

I wish you the best of luck and have a safe and fun July 4th weekend!
