These are so gorgeous... please could someone point me in the direction of a pattern for the plain one (I don't think that my sewing skills would go as far as ruffles!)? Thanks so much, I'd LOVE to make one of these for my Mother in Law for Christmas.

THANK GOD!!! I have a "thing" for aprons, even have antique apron patterns. Recently discovered my grandma made and sold aprons from home during the 1st world war. So these things tend to run in families! I AM SOOOO GLAAAAAD TO SEE SOMEBODY ELSE IN THIS BIG OL WORLD LOVES TO MAKE APRONS TOO! I haven't sewn one in years. I always want to, though. I have peices of one, unfinished, somewhere around here.......they're always on my mind........

BTW, I love the matching towel and the loop built into the apron for the towel. Thats brilliant. But I always had at least one big, deep patch pocket to keep treats/trinkets for the kids to dig around for......
