A slightly oversized egg found today in the nesting box. The other is the average size are we accustomed with. This one is over 6cm. She's some remarkable egg!

There might be two yolks- or another egg!

First year for chickens and we've already had 3 doubles. They are very characteristically oblong shaped but this one is regular shaped but huge. I've read double yokes are roughly 1:1000 and I know we haven't had at many. Maybe this is a 1:25,000,000 triple? I'm going to auction off this sucker..... Lol

Most likely a double yolker. That is far more common with young layers as their system settles down into a routine. But still, ouch!
