I'm not Vegan any longer, but I'm not a big carnivore either. I'm more of the mind that if I personally am willing to take responsiblity for their lives, and peacefull deaths, I've earned the right to consume them. If I just go buy it, thats bad. I know those animals aren't always treated with kindness and respect, and I refuse to support something I don't think is acceptable.

Families should do their own growing, killing, and consuming, or forego it completely. Oh, I also raise my own produce, and can and freeze oodles. I trade for a lot of stuff, too.

Thats awesome. Glad I'm not alone either. Its unusual to be an animals activist who understands that life must sometimes contain death, its the mannor of it that must be controlled.

Exactly. I don't mind animals being killed, as long as they are killed in a humane way and are being killed for a useful purpose and lived a good life 10.
