I'm so sorry, Pippin. I know exactly how that feels and it's horrible.
Mites could not kill a bird unless they were completely swarming her and managed to cause critical blood loss in a very short period of time. Sure, they can weaken a bird...but it's very, very likely there was a different main cause for her death. Was she in with the adult chickens? Could one have pecked her? Had her and Oreo's facial swelling come down?
