No pic here yet. I'm waiting on 3 eggs from whoever decides to lay since I still have 3 free slots in my bator. I had to throw out 2 dozen eggs.

2 dozen eggs that I needed. With all the rain we were having I had to wash my eggs off. I've done it before with no problems, but this time they went bad before I could set them. I'm lucky I had just over 2 dozen game eggs and a dozen that are around 4 to 5 weeks old. Oldest I've hatched with very few quitters was 3 week old eggs. We'll see how this goes. The older eggs hadn't been washed, so they're fine. They just smell like poop.

The game eggs were meant to be eaten, but I never washed them and they're from the past two weeks. Freashest were collected last night.

Anyway, I'll have 60 eggs when I'm done. Three less than last year, but this year it's all my eggs.

When I have to wash eggs, I let them air dry and then mist them with a solution of Betadine (povidone iodine) from the drug store and water- usually around a 2 to 1 water to iodine solution. After the first side dries I roll them over and spray them again. This gives them an antimicrobial coating to replace the bloom and seems to work well.

We're heading to the livestock auction here shortly to get eggs to set for the hatch a thon. don't have nearly as much room in my sportsman as I'd like, but we will see what they have tonight. I have room for 4 dozen standard size eggs, 4 dozen bantam, and 10 dozen quail.... Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

This time there's all mine too. So much cheaper than years gone by.

I just started to work on some low fertility with 2 of my breeds, but none of the eggs after are in here. Then I went out just a minute ago to 4 Marans hens in a nest box making all kinds of noise and 2 more Maranas and one of my Ameraucanas waiting to get in. I pulled out 4 eggs and though hmmmm. Then I put them with the 18 I held back. Never put all you eggs in one basket, or incubator. LOL There was only one Maranas egg in there, so looks like one if none of them have laid so far. Getting great fertility on their's so that's good.

Here are my set eggs( set at noon Eastern time, just late posting

).

6 duck eggs and 16 chicken eggs for a total of 22 eggs

I candled my duck eggs and all but one were developing wonderfully (the lone duck egg out in front was infertile, got rid of it as soon as I took my "Eggs Set" Picture, as it technically was set)

Here is a picture of one of my developing duck eggs, this is my first time trying duck eggs :)

I have three sets of eggs in various stages of incubation using two incubators and a broody. I had to start earlier so won't be setting anything officially today.

The shipped Fogle HRIR are on day four. I will do a candle tomorrow to see where the air cells are. The Catdance eggs I picked up at the farm are on day fourteen. I candled seventeen. Four appear to be quitters. I will wait until day of lockdown to pull. Thirteen are where they should be in development. Some of the eggs have perfect air cell and some I can barely see it. Weird. Judy the Broody is sitting on five barn yard eggs due to hatch tomorrow.

So far, I'm thrilled with how it's all going.
