The 4th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long

Thanks guys. I've had thousands of successful chicks, so it's really okay, but I'm very unhappy that i didn't go check to make sure nothing had changed.

I'm also concerned that if these few do make it, they will be dain bramaged. I'm not capable of having any special needs chickens right now.

Okay, I need some advice please. One of my babies is on her back & every time I right her, she ends up on her back again. What can I do (besides name her "Turtle")?

Also wondering about my friends eggs. She set them 3 days before me, but still no pips. She had some wigglers, but that is slowing down too. Her homemade incubator ran low for a spell. I offered to put them in my incubator. Would that help? Or is it time to assist? Today would be day 25 for her.

Sorry if this post is in the wrong forum, just thought I might get an answer faster here since this one is so very active with everyone hatching today.

Ok, my hatch is over and I have 17 BC Marans, 8 Buckeyes, and 4 d'Uccles(29)! The problem is I do not remember how many I started with. Does anyone have it written down some where? I know I throw out 1 d'Uccle, 1 buckeye and I think 1 or 2 Marans eggs at lock down and I just threw out 1 Marans and I think 8 Buckeyes that did not hatch. I do not remember if I threw any out at 10 days when candled. Oh my, what else am I forgetting?

And I will get a picture but my camera's battery is dead....

Okay home from work. All is well. I have one d'Uccle hatched

and a total of 14 pipped and or zipping. In the big incubator from what I can see I have 4 hatched, its hard to see in there. Even with the light on the water tray is in the way. I luckily found two turkey eggs that were seeping and got them out last night. But all it well here. Oh yeah I got a flat today on the way to work. YAY
Congrats to everyone who has chicks and those that are still waiting.....Don't open the incubator just yet, Wait

I am eggzausted!!! #3 going to hatch some time thru the night. Nothing happening with remaining 9 eggs.

I'm way behind but congrats on the 2 and You prob. have more out now. Your brooder is great!

I am done! Hatched 5 out of 12 at lockdown. The other 7 died. Now I can focus on my 5 fuzzies!
