And here I was thinking my chick was early. Good to see everyone was awoken in the wee hours, 3 am here, to "Chirp! Chirp! Chirp! Chirp!"

5 set, 5 in lock down, 2 rocking this am

, the lone mallard and one of the chicken. I had candled them all last night and all had veins not a lot of movement or room. I hope they get to moving, I work 3-11 tomorrow so I want to be here for my first hatch.

ok I have one pip, but my humidity is to low. (50%) How do I raise it with out affecting the piped egg? could I just open it and fill then water troughs or put a sponge in or something?

NEW LIFE!!!!
I look forward to these days alot.
Peaches our dairy cow is going to calve today
Izze our boer goat is going to kid today
AND i have three pips so far on my egglets!!!!

I think I'm a day behind everyone--it will be 21 days for my eggs on Easter Sunday, so we just took the eggs out of the turner and put them in baskets yesterday. We had 17 eggs in the incubator, and 13 looked great and 2 looked possible and 2 looked like they were never fertile (didn't candle at all until last night). I hope these babies do well--every one that hatches is already sold!

And if I get a good hatch, I'm ordering some Marans eggs IMMEDIATELY. I would have ordered them in February, by my husband is making me wait until we get a decent incubator test... this is driving me nuts.

my eggs are looking sad- i can't describe why- just experience i think. my biggest concern is the air cell never got big enough. we will see. it's odd to have great luck with my other eggs that were shipped and terrible luck with my own barnyard mix lol.

Morning All! Well, I don't have any pips yet, but I did wake up to peeps soo hopefully soon!

Hi Everyone! So happy to see people getting pips and even hatching:) we have 9 in lockdown (had another couple of quitters that be left in the incubator just in case but didn't move to the hatcher). I had a misunderstanding with a sick horse and a fence yesterday and ended up in a full leg immobilizer and crutches for the unforeseen future so our posts will be slow lol! I am way behind now on the thread but I am really looking forward to the hatch and we will hopefully see some pips of our own very soon!

That's terrible, and right before Easter too. So Sorry!

. It is a good excuse to stay planted by the incubator though, hmmmm......

I have 51 eggs in lockdown. I've been having a hard time with temps regulating. Oh and then I unplugged the egg turner (because i was going to transfer eggs anyway) and found out 6 hrs later I unplugged the incubator instead! There's half my eggs. I have no idea what will hatch with this bunch!!!!!
I think they'll be just fine. Thank Goodness you caught it!
One of ours started moving and peeping too :). It seemed a little early, but it is so exciting to see them moving around. There is a little crack in the side...but I don't think it is enough to pierce the membrane yet. Hopefully the chick gets out okay. Waiting is so hard! I might not be able to stay up all night to watch, but I sure want to. Go Egg#3!! There appeared to be 8 developing when "lockdown" began and hopefully it will be a good hatch. 1st timer here and boy am I excited!

The first time is so exciting...AND stressful. Don't over think it, just let them do their job. Most of them are pretty good at it!

GOOD FRIDAY MORNING EVERYONE !!! I see you guys have movement and hear chirping!! :DAwesome! Nothing yet in mine which is strange. Good luck!!

Were you running at lower temps throughout? I always did, to err on the side of caution, and mine were always exactly on time.
I take it back. Just added a small rag because humidity was a little low and wanted to watch it before I left for work and low and behold if one of the olive egger eggs aren't pipped. Still couldn't get anyone to cheep at me though. What do you think the odds are that it will hatch in the next 30 min. So I fan watch?

Wish it worked that way. My method is to pray that they stay "IN" until I get home.
