For those keeping track, I'm pretty sure my sweet Cleo is on the way out. :( Nobody can say I haven't done everything I could for her.... I'm devastated... Been crying for the last hour...,

I had just informed my husband that I would be keeping her and taking care of her because she needed me and what kind of example would it set for our girls if we just got rid of her because she was "different"..... Turns out he would have been unhappy, but he would have understood..... Poor Cleo just gave up the fight today though.... She was hyper and happy last night, but seemed lethargic this morning, and has gone downhill all day.

Its funny how many people are still getting late hatches from this hatchalong. I cleaned out my bators yesterday and loaded them all up again for another hatch. Hoping to get a bunch of clears out in time to participate in the cinco de mayo hatch a long. I hear that group is a riot lol.

Oh and don't forget to post your numbers for the spreadsheet. I think Happy Chooks gave us until Friday??? I need like 2000+ more chicks to hatch so I can win!

We all love our chicks!!

So why not make them a Nature Crown!! How to make a Nature Crown:
Supplies: piece of paper, pinecone, a few leaves, tape or glue, scissors

1. Cut partial triangles out until you have what looks like a crown or tiara that is flat.
2 Curl the flat tiara/crown until you have the size of your chickens head.

3. Tape it so it stays and you have a plain tiara/crown.

4. Tape one of the leaves in the little opening between two of the triangles on the crown or tiara. (Do this as many times until there is one leaf in each opening.)

5. Break off little branch like things off of the pinecone and tape one under each triangle.

This design can be either for a hen or rooster.

(I had to hold her, she wouldn't stop trying to jump on my leg!)
Thanks! Enjoy!

I'm so sorry! Sometimes nature knows best, but that doesn't help the ache inside right now
