awwwww
Yep... I got attached to one from my classroom hatch last year. My husband told me from the beginning that I could NOT keep ANY... this one was so sweet and loving and adorable that even he gave in, which is how I now have my two backyard hens that I ADORE...I'm sorry, but congrats on the babies that made it. How strange that there was no mother. Obviously she sat on them long enough for them to develop and hatch. You will not regret the Brinsea bator.
I'm sorry.
Also sorry for the member that lost Cleo. There are always the special ones that melt our hearts.
Quote: I love them!!! yes and that striped chick in the last pic!
That reminds me, I have two broodies I need to go check on and take eggs out from under. Fox is going to try to take my arm off, I just know it!BLACK Betty update, picked her up she growled, stayed flat as a pancake too!
I looked at 4 eggs while holding her and saw notta! she was due to give birth today.
I forgot to tell her she is only allowed 21 days!![]()
CONGRATS QUIRKY!!!![]()
For those keeping track, I'm pretty sure my sweet Cleo is on the way out.Nobody can say I haven't done everything I could for her.... I'm devastated... Been crying for the last hour...,![]()

I have a bunch of striped "chipmunk" ones and they are my favorites! I also have quite a few with adorable muffs.
Here's some more photos for you all to enjoy!
The first chick to hatch was a chipmunk, and I thought it had a "blue" hue to some of his stripes. Sure enough, it's little wing tips are blue & brown!
I can't image what it'll look like once feathered out!
Chick on left is a "blue" and yellow - it's wing tips look a lavender chick!
The one in the middle is I think a Partridge Rock/Golden Laced Wyandotte mix
The one on the right is the same chick as above
Here is Daisy with a bunch of the chicks; Lydia is under the hover brooder with the others
I just love this photo!
Daisy moved, and these chicks were left behind!
These last two photos were the ones I entered in the Easter chick photo contest:
