So I officially have a broody bantam hen. She has been more on the nest than off the past week and the past 2-3 night slept on the nest. I just took 2 eggs out from under her and let me tell you she was not happy

I know a lot of you are wishing for broodies right now, but I soooooooo did not want a broody this early in the year. Agh what to do with her now.

I sooo wish I could borrow your broody for my upcoming call eggs...sigh!

Nifty-Chicken bought BYC 7-ish years ago. I do not know who created it.

wow! that's great! once I became a member of BYC I remember an animal horder episode I had watched on Netflix about a man who kept too many hurt chickens roos, etc in his house....so I searched for it and watched it again and you have know idea what I did when I saw nifty on there taking some of the roos for better homes! I was so happy I belonged to such a cool websight!

Do ya think?? Let that puppy go off air again, and you'll have a virtual riot on your hands!!

not. fair. without a broodie I cannot do the new years hatch. therefore, I am not participating unless one of my girls go broody. oh, please ship her over here! she will have eggs under her in a jiffy! LOL

Id love to share her really I do. But shes here to stay. I may slip a few eggs under her. I cant tell DH though he wont be happy.

Though he did build me a chick condo today in my garage, built to the wall. So he is subconsciously enabling me. He was cursing my chickens all the while but he never stopped building lol Hes such a good hubby.
