Humidity down to 66% and falling at the rate of 1% every hour. Day 20 starts in 2 hrs from now. Since none of my eggs have pipped so far, is it safe to open the bator quickly to add water and close it right away?
You can add water without doing anything special if there are no pips. I would take the time to candle too.

The trick with this is to be calm and efficient. "Quickly" can be bad--you do not want to smash any eggs hurrying when you do not need to.

One last pointer:

Use water that is as hot as you can get from the faucet and then microwave it to get it hotter.

They have been locked down since Friday. They are almost on day 22. I thought my air cells looked OK.
You are doing fine!

Aircells often look like that before they hatch. They may be weak though if your temps were too low.

Go chickies!

your temps are a tad too low, recalibrate but your not out of the game yet its only starting 22

Yeah my temps were a bit low. I don't need to recalibrate anything they were low because of the way I had my bator set. I hope they aren't weak. Will I need to help?

I had a very poor hatch i hatched 2 delawares out of 38 eggs. My incubators temps. are steady at the bottom but fluctuate to much at the top so the turner is not really helping so for now on i turn by hand! I have around 100 eggs incubating now! I received my chicks from Mcmurray yesterday! 26 barred rocks and my surprise chick is a dark brahma!

This is the hatch count from yesterday:

One more has hatched on day 24! Brings my total up to 3 now. Still holding out a little home for the others for another day. :)

You very likely will have to help. Watch for yolk not absorbed and general lack of vigor. Get vitamins ready too.

Some may stick so watch for that and read up on the assisted hatching guide!

I hope a bunch make it for you!
