so how is everyone's HAL chicks doing?. Mine are getting big super fast, at least it seems like it. And the babies I bought during the hatch are almost ready for outside as soon as these night temps get up out of the 40s.

Well, of the 4 Jennys we rescued, 2 turned out to be Jacks

I have some weird luck. Not bad, not good...just weird luck. But I have been able to get 2 to socialize with me. So going good.

Thank you. I just took them out to my run to let me get used to being outside and my 11 week old Cornish x staying calling to them and protecting then from the other chickens. Anyone ever seen this?

She might. In going to keep her for a while. I know when she was younger she used to let the younger ones use her to warm up.

All of mine are 11 weeks and the worst issue I have is one has a bad foot. I only feed twice a day and I limit the amount. I also let them outside all the time when they were little and now they escape the run to go free range.
