Picked this up back a couple of months ago but haven't had the time or money to start building it yet. Was looking at regular sized fridges and then saw this posted for free. Bakery I got it from was worried I would spend too much trying to fix it because it had been "sitting there broke for at least a decade" I explained I was going to convert it into a incubator and they were lost. Needless to say that pretty much stopped the small talk and it was loaded and I was gone.

If I had those kind of 'bators, fertile eggs would become even more dangerous. . . I would spend all my money on eggs :p Good luck with your projects! And good luck on holding back on buying all the fertile eggs on eBay! ;)

I knew that. I am not a show person I like pretty bird. Loved hers. Have two groups of half breeds I am working on. NN/ brahmas cross, I love the birds and the legbar/cuckoo cross, I just like the birds. I've have EEs and ameraucana for years love my little brown partridge colored EEs with fluffy creeks.
If I could have won the bid for what I had bid I'd love to try to hatch them. It is such a gamble on shipped eggs...

Baby fluff butt updates. The runt is doing great... Even if she just POOPED in my lap!!

the others are growing good But I'm watching 1 carefully because it had bad pasty butt. I cleaned but due to the cord couldn't get it all or risk bleeding. Aww look. You can see the size difference very well here in last picture. Pip Squeak vs the others.

Thank you! I don't buy eggs on Ebay, so that is not a problem. However, I will still get in loads of trouble with just the eggs that my girls lay and those I buy/trade with other breeders! I'll be spending all my money building more grow-out pens and coops, not to mention more land to put them on.

Do you have pictures please share?! I have a pullet I hatched last year that I think qualifies as a splash but I'm not positive. But I know she's stunning. I have a mixed pullet whose mother was a white mix(with some Leghorn- that lays light pink eggs) and her father a black orp. I'm not sure if she's splash or not but she sure is pretty. She's my pullet that had an impacted crop a couple weeks ago. Anyway she is like a creamy white(not a stark white) with black and blue flecks through her feathers most of these flecks are very small.

Idk if you can see the flecks in these images or not

Sorry just realized I wasn't clear I have what I believe may be a blue splash silkie named Lovey.

I also have this pullet Jasmine that I'm not sure if she could be a splash or not she is certainly unusual looking and I can't wait to see what she lays after she has fully recovered. Jazzy also has some more large spots of color under her wings particularly her right wing. Is there no name for this coloring?

She's very pretty! She's not splash but a cross between dominant white and black which gives you white with black leakage. Some people refer to this coloring as "paint".

Quote: Thanks for the clarification. I wasn't too sure and hoped someone could correct me if I was wrong.

Thanks Sally. We were going to do it again today, but it started raining. I didn't even finish filing his hooves.
