Pigs and poultry are probably the only two omnivores you're going to see being kept as livestock on a farm. Both like to eat meat as well as plants.

Sure you can set them. They shouldn't be pullet-egg sized by March.

I have bad news but my Dominique hen just got killed by the stupid pigs... I had one have this happen to it before, but we fuxed the problem, until they dug down 3 ft and grabbed her from under.... This is why I like my birds... No pigs, goats, sheep, or cows. Even though we have them...

Oh so sorry about your Dominique. I hope you can fix the problem. It is always hard to lose a pet you have invested time and care into. Try to focus on all the good memories. Blessings.

Do like @bamadude did and just take an egg with u shopping. A coat or sweater to go over ur head while ur checking "candling" capabilities.
