I would like to participate but want to know if I can set ends the Friday or Thursday March 3rd or 4th. I am a teacher and would like the eggs to hatch during the school week.

I successfully hatched chickens in my class last year, I think this may be a fun contest for my class to be a part of.

Instagram is an app that you can get for your phone, It is owned by Facebook. I use it to promote my up and coming hobby chicken farm. Basically you take pictures and put them on the app with the # and then anything you want behind it eg.. #fowlcreationsfarm that is my name there, so if people put that it will bring them to me. Or you can search by the # and words to find things that interest you such as #backyardchickens you will then get pictures of anything that people post and then use that hashtag. I just started using it and it can be alot of fun.

Those are the cutest puffy cheeks! Faverolles are up at the top of my wish list.

She just keeps getting prettier. Had to share. I've never kept the frizzle...I wasn't to sure about them. I did keep a white cochin frizzle for a short time. Now all I need to do is think of a name for her!

I love her! I have a Serama that is supposed to be a frizzle or frillie as the breeder called it. I would name her Queenie....

I have one Saipan that has hatched!! Two more have pipped. Two silkie/SG have pipped. These are my first ever shipped eggs. Not so good on the silke/SG 17 eggs set. 12 clear at 7 day. I am not sure about the 3 others in the bator. 6 Saipans set, one stinker at 7 day. Two are still iffy..

Two more groups set a week apart, Shipped Red stars next week, local Blue Laced Red Wyandottes the following week.

Ebay auction win of 4 different rare breeds on the way now, but to early for HAL

Gonna set my backyard mixes for the HAL, DH says I have to curb the egg buying for a bit. I'm okay with that. had a 93% hatch rate with them on my first ever hatch.

FAVEROLLES CHICKS ARE JUST STUPID CUTE

Oh I am just so very very excited I super super hope that our local farm and fleet has extras still when we get there to pick up our chicks on March 30th (DH2B's bday) because they're getting 25 extra favorelles pullets - which we didn't order BC we didn't want to have to order 5 of them. So excited!!! Oh goodness this is how chicken math happens.

Only had these guys for a day some less then that. They went to there new home today. There going to a good home though from what I can tell.
