I'm glad you're not letting this and all you've been going through get the best of you. I wish we loved closer so we could come help perhaps other people on BYC can and would. Did you post on the Alabama thread?

Not yet. I'm waiting to see what else is tossed at me so I can look Satan in the face and say "Gods got this. Bring it on." Oh yeah. My fever is around 103 now and my car wouldn't start at the school after I got the kids. I know there's a joke somewhere in all this.

Can't wait to see what's next. I'm to hard headed to let it get to me. Knock on wood.

If the drawer bottom is solid, maybe remove some of the wood and replace with 1/4 hardware cloth to allow more warm air to rise into that part.  Make very small adjustments, it may not take much and it may affect the temps in the temps in the incubator.

Heating pad attached to the ceiling?

The middle is cut out with hardware cloth in the bottom. The heating pad could work. I have one that should work great. I'll have to make some adjustments and see what works best.

It's 2am and my chicken coop is in smolderes. Fire killed 16 3 week olds. I'm depressed now. NEVER PUT A HEATLAMP , even 1 with emergency shut off, in a coop.

This is the nightmare for all of us who have ever used a heat lamp. I am so sorry this happened to you. A tragedy.

I went back and looked again at your cabinet. Can you make the middle shelf out of something that would let more heat move to the top?  Like an oven rack?

I did change the middle shelf and cut the middle out and put hardware cloth in. I have moved some fans to see if it pushes more heat up.

I am dying of anticipation. I can't candle until tomorrow, still out of town for spring break
