@Sally Sunshine Hi Sally or Mike, just wanted to give you my EHAL day 14 update 15/17 eggs still going, lost one that ended up being a twin embryo around day 11 & one to a blood ring the last couple of days. Another one just doesn't look quite right but will leave in until day 18.

I should post my update too - I'd originally set 42...I've pulled 2 (blood ring and an infertile) so I have 40 remaining for now...

So I've noticed that in some YouTube videos and pictures people have lights inside thier hova bator.. I feel like having a light in the incubator would make viewing the hatch way better?
Is putting a very low watt LED ligh in the bator something people do? Would it affect my temperature too much?

Candled tonight, 19 out of 33 shipped eggs are doing great. The rest were clears. I had set one Marans upside down, hopefully that one has enough time to get into the correct position before hatch day in a week.

I'm in mobile Alabama. My husband is going to try to clean up this weekend (I'll believe it when I see it) and try to build a coop. Took 3 years to build this one. I'm just so tired this week. I know I'm under attack but despite how tired I am or may become I refuse to give up.

Get you some Ginger Peach tea. I always get it from the Republic of Tea sold at Books A Million but you can order it online. It is my goto tea when I am sick. Just know that this illness will pass and so will the heartache. It is just hitting you so hard because you are sick. Next time you are at the grocery buy yourself something that has a lot of vitamin C in it but is usually too pricey. Like kumquats or out of season berries. Blueberries help with depression you know. Watermelon will help keep you hydrated. Feed your body what it needs right now to make it strong. It will be better.

You can always attatch a switch and only turn on the light when you wish to view.

Yeah i think so because the limit is 2 days before and after the set date (march 5th) and i think theres other people on day 10

I've reached a new low..........photographing bee poop. In 4 years of beekeeping, I've never seen anything like this. My bees were confined to their hive for 10 or so days of heavy rain. We got over 9 inches of rain. The first clear day and they exploded all over the place. They were obviously very happy to get out to relieve themselves.

This is so interesting..yes, interesting. Never thought about them being stuck in there during rain, and not...going! I guess it makes sense they don't want their honey pooed on.
